During Oct.-Dec. 2024, we received $5,530 in donations. We still need $9,270 to reach our goal. Please call friends and family to donate! Special Thanks! to those donors who made possible the scholarships awarded in 2024! You helped us meet the $15,000 goal! And You Helped Build the Endowment!
Funds not used directly for scholarships each year are added to our alumni scholarship Endowed Fund, managed by Oregon Community Foundation. As of Sept. 30, 2024, the fund totaled $134,000. Please consider including the SHS Alumni Scholarship in your estate planning so we can meet our $1 million goal. Thank you!! |
Abigail Matlack and Katie Kyllo got the 2024 Educator Hero Fern Eberhart Scholarships. Kathe Eberhart, Sheridan, presented a $2,500 scholarship to each recipient at Senior Awards Night in memory of Kathe's mother, Fern Eberhart, beloved English teacher from 1946-1976.

Pursuing a career in criminology
Reilley Dearth, Class of 2020 Valedictorian, received the Sheridan Educator Hero Scholarship in honor of Olga Dillin Petrovich, English teacher from 1959 to 1974. Reilley is studying Engineering at Oregon State University.

Bill Treadway Jr. was delighted to give the 2022 award in honor of his father, Wm. Treadway III. The recipient, Gavin Anderson, plans to pursue his family tradition as an educator.
Derek Locke, also a 2021 recipient, intends to pursue a software engineering degree for a career in technology.
